Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Is the topcoat slippery when wet?

Like anything that gets wet, polyaspartic urethane can be slippery with standing water. Aluminum oxide can be added in wet locations for a non-slip grip. This texture is still smooth and non-abrasive.

  • Is the floor easy to clean?

Yes! This is one of the major advantages of resinous flooring in that the floor is super easy to clean and maintain. With just warm, soapy water and a soft bristle brush or cloth, cleaning up oil spills and chemicals is now easier than ever.

  • Are there more options and colors?

Of course! I get asked all the time on the phone if there are more colors and options to choose from. I have physical samples of flake, quartz, hybrid- terrazzo blends, mica, and metallics.

How long does it take to do?

Usually can take just one full day depending on the total size and how much prep work needs to be done.

When can I walk on it?

After the topcoat is applied, allow 24 hours before foot traffic and 72 hours before vehicles can drive on.

What if my floor is badly cracked?

All cracks will be filled before basecoat and flake are applied. Concrete expansion joints can be filled if requested.

How do I clean the floor after it’s done?

Degreasers such as Simple Green, 409, or just dish soap and water works well.

What do I do with all my stuff in the garage?

I ask that you try and move almost everything that you can prior to us showing up. If you can’t store it or move the heavier items, I can. I will tarp it off in the yard or driveway and move it back in the following day.
